Yemen’s Health Office in Taiz Reports 400 HIV Cases Nationwide in 2025
Taiz -- The Health Office in Taiz Governorate has announced that Yemen recorded 400 cases of HIV/AIDS across the country during 2025, with 75 of those cases reported in Taiz alone.
According to the statement, the figures highlight the growing public health challenge posed by HIV in Yemen, particularly in areas affected by conflict and limited access to medical services.
The Health Office emphasized the need for expanded awareness campaigns, improved testing facilities, and stronger support for patients to reduce stigma and ensure timely treatment.
Officials noted that the situation in Taiz reflects broader national concerns, as the war-torn country continues to struggle with weakened healthcare infrastructure.
The report urged both local authorities and international organizations to intensify efforts in combating the spread of HIV/AIDS, while providing humanitarian and medical assistance to affected communities.
