Aden -- The Yemen national football team was knocked out of the Arab Cup playoff after a dramatic clash with Comoros that ended in a 4-4 draw, followed by a 4-2 defeat in the penalty shootout.

The match, played with high intensity, saw both sides exchange goals in a thrilling contest that kept fans on edge until the final whistle. 

Yemen fought back with determination, leveling the score multiple times, but Comoros held firm to push the game into penalties.

In the shootout, Comoros converted four of their spot-kicks, while Yemen missed two crucial attempts, sealing their exit from the competition. 

Despite the disappointment, Yemen’s spirited performance drew praise, as the team showcased resilience and attacking flair throughout the encounter.

The result means Comoros advance to the next stage of the Arab Cup, while Yemen’s campaign comes to an end after one of the most entertaining matches of the qualifiers.
