Aden — Yemen Airways has announced the addition of a third weekly flight on its Aden–Riyadh route, starting this November, in response to growing passenger demand and efforts to enhance air connectivity between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The national carrier confirmed that the new service will operate every Saturday, complementing the existing flights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The move aims to facilitate travel for Yemeni expatriates, patients, and business travelers, while easing pressure on limited flight availability from southern Yemen.

In a statement, Yemen Airways said the decision reflects its commitment to expanding services and improving accessibility for passengers amid ongoing challenges in the country’s aviation sector.

The Aden–Riyadh route has become one of the airline’s most vital corridors, linking Yemen’s interim capital with the Saudi capital, which hosts a large Yemeni diaspora and serves as a key transit hub.

Travel agencies and passengers welcomed the announcement, noting that increased flight frequency will help reduce booking delays and support humanitarian and medical travel needs.

Yemen Airways continues to operate under complex logistical and security conditions, with limited international gateways due to the ongoing conflict. The airline has gradually resumed and expanded operations from Aden and Seiyun in recent years.
