Al-Mahra – Local authorities confirmed that a massive fire broke out on Saturday, engulfing two residential homes in Al-Mahra Governorate.

Eyewitnesses reported that the blaze spread rapidly, leaving families displaced and causing significant property damage. 

Civil defense teams rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire before it extended to nearby houses.

Officials stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire, while humanitarian organizations have been urged to provide urgent assistance to the affected families.

The incident highlights the vulnerability of communities in Yemen’s eastern governorates, where limited emergency resources make it difficult to respond swiftly to disasters.
