Yemen : 3 Russian Injured in Airstrikes on Ras Isa Port
Yemen - The Russian Embassy in Yemen announced that three Russian citizens were injured due to airstrikes targeting the Ras Isa oil port in the Hodeidah Governorate. The embassy stated that one of the injured is in critical condition and requires urgent surgical intervention, while the other two sustained minor injuries and are in stable condition.
The incident occurred while the ship "Seven Pearls," carrying a crew of 19 Russian sailors, was docked near the port. Reports indicate that the injured were transferred to the capital, Sana'a, for medical treatment, while the ship's operating company is working to evacuate the remaining crew members.
The attack has sparked international concern, particularly due to the involvement of Russian citizens among the victims. The Russian Embassy confirmed that it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with local authorities to provide the necessary support.
The Ras Isa port is a vital facility in Yemen, primarily used for importing fuel. The port suffered significant damage during the attack, exacerbating the hardships faced by civilians in an area already burdened by a severe humanitarian crisis.
