Yemenia Airways announced, on Sunday evening, the resumption of its flights from Sanaa Airport to Jordan, starting next Tuesday, with six flights per week, after a suspension of flights that lasted half a month following the Houthi group’s confiscation of the company’s accounts in Sanaa.

Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs of Yemen Airlines, Mohsen Haidara, said in a statement, “Yemenia Airlines will resume its flights from Sana’a Airport, starting next Tuesday, October 17, 2023.”

He added, "In implementation of the directives of Captain Nasser Mahmoud Muhammad, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Yemeni Airlines will resume operating flights between Sanaa International Airport and Queen Alia in Jordan, with 6 flights every week."

Haidara stressed, "Yemenia Airlines leadership is keen to facilitate the transportation of passengers to and from all Yemeni airports, without exception," explaining that this decision "comes within the framework of Yemen Airways' endeavor to meet the needs of travelers and facilitate their arrival to their destinations in safety and comfort."

He said, "Yemenia is keen on the humanitarian aspect as a priority in its missions as the only national carrier in Yemen."

It is noteworthy that Yemenia stopped its flights since the beginning of October and accused the Houthi group of sourcing $80 million from the company’s accounts in Sanaa, which was confirmed by the Yemeni government.
