Yemen's Al-Mahra Affirm Stability Amid STC Reinforcements
Al-Mahra — Provincial authorities in Yemen’s eastern governorate of Al-Mahra confirmed on Sunday that the overall security situation remains stable following the arrival of new reinforcements from the Southern Transitional Council (STC).
Officials stated that the deployment of STC-affiliated units, took place without armed confrontation and was coordinated with local security leaders.
The reinforcements are positioned along key border and coastal areas, including the Shahn crossing with Oman and the port of Nishtun, to bolster security and maintain order.
The statement emphasized that daily life in Al-Mahra continues normally, with public institutions, schools, and markets operating without disruption.
Authorities reassured residents that “the situation is under control and stability is preserved,” underscoring efforts to prevent unrest amid broader tensions in neighboring Hadhramaut.
