Sana'a – The final casualty toll from the drone attack that struck the southern Israeli city of Eilat earlier this week has risen to 50 injured, according to updated medical sources. The assault, reportedly launched from Yemen, targeted a busy commercial area near a hotel, causing widespread panic and damage.

Among the injured:

- Two individuals remain in critical condition, including a man in his 60s and another in his 20s.

- Several others sustained moderate injuries, while the majority suffered minor wounds from shrapnel and debris.

Emergency teams transported the most severe cases to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, while others were treated at Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat.

The Israeli military confirmed that the drone evaded interception by the Iron Dome system, prompting an internal investigation into the failure. The attack marks a significant escalation in cross-border hostilities and has raised concerns over airspace vulnerabilities.
