Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Meets Danish Parliamentary Delegation on Development and Stability
Riyadh — The Saudi Ambassador to Yemen held talks with a visiting delegation from the Danish Parliament, focusing on advancing development projects and supporting stability in Yemen.
The meeting underscored both nations’ shared commitment to humanitarian recovery and regional security.
During the discussions, the Saudi side highlighted the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), which has already launched hundreds of projects across infrastructure, healthcare, education, and energy sectors. These initiatives aim to restore essential services, create jobs, and strengthen Yemen’s economic resilience.
The Danish delegation emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in reinforcing international cooperation. They expressed Denmark’s readiness to contribute to humanitarian and development efforts, noting that Yemen’s stability is vital for regional security and global trade.
Both sides agreed on the need to empower local communities, enhance civil institutions, and stimulate investment opportunities in Yemen.
The talks also reflected a broader international consensus that Yemen’s recovery requires coordinated support from regional and European partners alike.
Observers view the Saudi-Danish parliamentary dialogue as a meaningful step toward diversifying international backing for Yemen’s reconstruction, combining Riyadh’s large-scale development initiatives with Copenhagen’s parliamentary and humanitarian engagement.
