Egypt Reaffirms Support for Yemen’s Economic Recovery
Aden - Egypt has reiterated its commitment to supporting Yemen’s economic recovery amid ongoing regional efforts to stabilize the war-torn country. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo emphasized the importance of coordinated Arab and international action to rebuild Yemen’s infrastructure, restore essential services, and revitalize its economy.
The announcement came following high-level consultations between Egyptian officials and representatives of the Yemeni government, during which Egypt pledged technical assistance, capacity-building programs, and support for financial institutions operating in liberated areas.
“Egypt stands firmly with the people of Yemen in their pursuit of peace, stability, and economic renewal,” the statement read. “We believe that sustainable recovery requires inclusive development and international solidarity.”
The move aligns with Egypt’s broader diplomatic stance advocating for a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and increased humanitarian aid to affected communities. Analysts view Cairo’s engagement as part of a growing regional consensus to prevent further economic collapse and encourage reconstruction efforts.
Yemeni officials welcomed Egypt’s support, noting that regional partnerships are vital to restoring livelihoods and rebuilding trust in public institutions.
